The Roundtables Tools and Success Practices

Throughout the years, we’ve identified several best practices that are essential to growing a successful company. In addition, we know that the members who use the array of tools that are available through membership quickly move to a position of excellence.  Those Tools and Practices are:

Roundtables Tools to be implemented immediately upon joining. They are:

¨      Faithful Attendance at Meetings.

¨      Accurately completed Focus Package.

¨      Detailed and helpful Personal Letter.

¨      Wise use of your time in the spotlight.

¨      Willingness to make stretch Commitments.

¨      Expend effort to achieve Commitments.

¨      Active and regular participation in your MicroBoard.

¨      Active participation in meetings.

¨      Quality of the help you extend to others.

¨      Stay until the end of the meeting – no leaving early.

Roundtables Success Practices in place by your third meeting. They are:

¨      Owner reviews and understands financial reports:

¨      Percentage of completion accounting must be used.

¨      Estimates match COGS categories in the P&L.

¨      An annual budget in place one month prior to the start of the fiscal year.

¨      Budget is updated semi-annually.

¨      Accurate estimating confirmed through job cost reports and analysis.

¨      At a minimum, job autopsies for jobs over budget.

¨      Marketing program in place and used in the company’s decision making process.

¨      Business Plan in place.
